All information on this page is here as a guideline to general car rental practises, you will find more detailed and location specific information as you go through the booking process or whilst you're getting an online quote. Your rental voucher will also give you much more detail relating to your specific rental country and location.

Below we have put together some general information regarding car hire which might be relevant or helpful to you on your holiday.

Delivery / Collection
Collection of your vehicle is normally at the airport or local office. If a client requires the car to be delivered to their accommodation then they should give full details of the address at the time of booking. A delivery charge sometimes applies.

Insurance Exclusion and Excess
As with most car hire companies the insurance cover does not cover tyres, windscreens, roof, underside and interior and also towing charges. A small number of suppliers also impose an excess which will be advised at the time of booking. This will mean that you are responsible for the first part of any insurance claim. Insurance cover is not provided for contents of car in case of theft.

Age of Driver
If the driver is below 21 or over 65 then in some cases restrictions will apply at certain resorts, you will be made aware of these.

Number of Passengers
All vehicles are insured for a maximum number of passengers. Please ensure that you select a vehicle suitable for the amount of people in your party.

Additional Driver
Some holiday locations will apply a charge for additional drivers.

Deposits
When you collect your car, you will sometimes have to leave a small deposit or credit card number which varies in amonut dependant on destination. The lead driver must be able to produce a valid credit card as deposit. In some countries damage deposits are required.

Driving License
All drivers must produce a full driving license held for at least one year. In some locations certain types of endorsements will restrict the license holder from car rental. No refunds can be given in the case of rentals aborted due to non-production of driving license or non-disclosure of any endorsements. Faxed or photocopied licenses are not acceptable.

Driving Restrictions
If clients intend to cross any country borders then park and Go need to be informed at the time of booking. Additional insurance charges may apply in such cases.

Breakdowns and Accidents
In the event of a breakdown or accident involving the rental car, the local car hire company must be informed straight away. In the event of an accident the local police should also be informed and you should obtain a signed police accident report along with all details of other driver(s) involved. Authority to replace or repair the damaged rental vehicle must be obtained from the local car hire company.

Cancellation charges
If for any reason you need to cancel your reservation, the following cancellation charges wil apply :
More than 28 days notice - £30.00
Within 28 days notice - 35%
Within 14 days notice - 55%
Within 7 days notice - 60%
Within 3 days notice - 90%
No show or cancellation after start date of car hire - 100%
