Where do I go to arrange picking up my hire car?

You can pick you hire car up from the appropriate desk at the airport, the hire documents you receive a few days after booking online will give details of the pickup desk for you. In a few instances car pickup is located at various Town Offices for your conveineince, if you select such an office for pickup then again your hire documents will detail the pickup location.

What if I arrive at the airport in the early hours of the morning or late at night?

This is OK, you will ALWAYS be able to pick up your hire car regardless of arrival time. In some instances a nominal fee is to be paid locally for pickup at unsociable hours (i.e. pickup at 03:00).

Am I limited to the amount of mileage I can do?

There is absolutely no limitation on mileage.

What is included in the hire price?

The hire prices includes the following:

Fully Comprehensive Insurance
Collision Damage Waiver (CDW) - no excess to pay if involved in an accident.
Theft Waiver - no excess to pay.
All Airport surcharges
All local taxes
Breakdown Recovery
Inside the USA you are covered for $1,000,000 liabilty insurance.

Can I drive outside of the country the car was hired in?

Yes, if driving in the Europe you can cross borders apart from Eastern block countries. If driving in Australia, South Africa or USA you can cross state borders. Please note in the case of the USA hire cars cannot be taken across the Mexican border.

Can I drop my hire car off at a different location?

Yes, to arrange this you will have to contact the Car Hire Group on York 652400.

Do I have to return the hire car with a full tank of petrol?

The car must be returned as hired, i.e. if the tank was 3/4 full then return it 3/4 full, make sure these details are noted at the time of pickup.

Do I have to pay a type of bond on my hire car?

No.
